Paul is back...

Hi all! its good to be back again! for three days, i was in mesa verde: no internet, no phones *tear tear* but other than that it was quite amazing being there. all over there were these sights that showed buildings made by the cliff dwellers thousands of years ago. and get this: they allowed users to go into the buildings. yes thats right, i got to get a tour of 3 different sites of ancient buildings. so for three days to sumarized it we went on tours and hikes, went back to our hotel to crash, went to dinner, then went back to crash again. i had quite the diet of soup, tang, country time lemonade, ramen, and the occasional hotdog that we bought for dinner. all good stuff. im sorry about the pics i hafta stop being lazy and post some more up yknow.. pics of me... pics of the places we've been to (not processed palm trees) but don't worry i have all day to use this laptop ill be sure to get stuff up.

P.S.: interesting thing, on our trip we've crossed 3 timezones...EEK! when we got to our hotel here we crossed another time zone and we didn't know. an extra hour to find something to do before we get into our hotel... there was nothing to do it was quite boring. ok pics will come don't worry stop hitting the keyboard with your head it won't do nething just wait

more vegas, and bryse canyon

ok so here i go, im covering two events at once.. lets start out with vegas

vegas!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

yes this is a palm tree which happened to be in vegas that i took. colorful huh? this was near the hoover damn, er dam, that we went to to start off our morning. the rest is all a blur (vegas for ya!). ok in the city we vistited a fish place (ok a predatory zoo full of things that eat you, same dif.) alotta cool things there. i liked the jellyfish there and i...touched...a...stingray! there was also amazing tanks that held sharks and other stuff like that. we went to the M&M's factory and yes, i got a rad blue M&M backpack. why blue?
A. my favorate color
B.hes most likely to be a bass player (don't ya agree?)
i also got these wicked cool sunglasses and i look so awesome in them (picture should come up soon, if not already).

lets see.. we got the damn er dam, the fish, and the blue M&M, what else.. oh yes the wandering around the strip. now personally i am still not used to the name "strip" it sounds very unnatural hearing it from my parents. but anyways we went shopping and wandering around the strip goin from casino to hotel to mall. lots of lights very beautiful. then when it was dark, we drove in the car and drove around just admiring all the lights... then BOOOM out like a light

BRYSE CANYON, UTAH

*poke poke* my parents were wakin me up like way too early to get us goin for the long trip to utah. to summarize the trip: me snapping pics, takin pics of my new hott sunglasses, and eating unhealthy food. the scenery was beautiful and long. it seemed to go ON and ON. finally we made it to our hotel, my mom pale because we kept on passing many roads that we could EASILY roll over the edge and die in. but yeah got to a nice hotel with internet and internet and me are very tight.

NEXT DAY

*poke poke SLAP* woke up too damn early today way too damn early today to watch the sun rise. it was very beautiful to look at but *yawn* too damn early. well after that we headed back to the hotel. as usual, i busted my computer loading a distro of linux called slackware, and the boot loader didn't detect my other Operating System so that had to be fixed (and it is). then it was off to horse back riding. oh yes the pleasure of just sitting on a horse, given a false sense of control when really they just do it all on there own. it was alot of fun, tho we were all a bit sore by the end. after that we had many snapshot moments, going from view to view on our van, listening to edgar myer (a good bass player) and having me say "HES SAWING THE BOW!" (one part, yes i was disturbed by wat he was doin to one of the pieces i kno i shouldn't be talking) and eating more food. yeah it doesn't seem like much but it took up the whole day. i have no idea when that day started. apparently we thought it was one time but then we changed timezones and it was another time... i have no idea what the time is right now i just know the time in newton.. i miss my bass... more pics to come soon don't worry!

trip to las vegas!

Hello there all! First off welcome to my blog that im starting up about my familys trip out west! Here we'll have pictures of our journeys. so lets start off with the descent

THE DESCENT

my trip started at around 5:00 am, when i was shooken awake by my mother (grrr!). We were anxiously awaiting our cab to drive us to the airport. when he got here at exactly 5:30, we were all ready, loading our bags into the cab. The driver was one interesting fellow. He started off talking to my mom about faith and religion, a big thing for such an hour. He seemed to have seen alot of places, having been to all 48 consecutive states! Some things he said i thought were too good to be true. first off, he said he had an IQ of 162, which i didn't believe exactly. He also claimed that he and a couple of friends started the stripes on the road by the lake in nonantum. there was many other things he did, but i don't remember much of it because i was too tired.

so we got to the airport, its around 6:00 about now. now our plane left at around 9:00 so we had a bit of time :) the security and the bag checking didn't take that long so we had about 2 1/2 hours by then to do nothing. will plugged his laptop in and went into his own world, and i tried figureing how to get wireless internet... which didn't work. but i read a bit and in no time at all we were on the plane. the plane ride (tho it was one of my first planes rides) was quite boring. luckily there was movies, music, and my laptop so that kept me from having my brain melting.

ok so we got off and thanks to the timezone change we pretty much had another day on our hands. the first thing we did was get our bags. after that, it was getting our rental car. then from there we pretty much found shelter (checked into hotel) and scavenged for food (chiljis, and grocery store). by this time we were exhausted and we hung out at the hotel for the remainder of the night. thats all for now today will probably be a jammed pack day... at vegas!!! oh btw, our hotel is like right near the strip so we have easy access to the busy part of vegas oh yeah!

peace!
